In front of a large home crowd, Independence jumped out to a 5-0 lead over 6A power Hayfield, but the Hawks regrouped and took the lead in the 1st quarter. Hayfield led at halftime 34-21. Independence made a run during the 3rd quarter to reduce the lead to 5, but the visiting hawks stormed back to ultimately win 68-51. Elijah Easter led the scoring with 15 points and added 5 assists. Gabriel Coulthurst scored 13, Matin Perdue 10 and 6 rebounds, Wes Williams 9 points . Julien Randolph 4 rebounds along with 4 spectacular blocks.  The Indy Tigers are now 5-1 on the season.
